Our Mission
Our primary goal is to educate consumers, processors and retailers on
the agri-food industry inn Northern Ontario, while at the same time assisting
producers with marketing initiatives.
In order to meet this goal, we specifically aim to:
- maintain a positive image of agriculture through the education of
the consumer.
- partner with existing organizations to address agricultural issues.
- increase consumers' awareness and understanding of agriculture and
the important role that it plays in the economy of Northern Ontario
- participates in community policy meetings to ensure needs of agriculture
are recognized and respected.
- assist with producer training and education to improve skills in
marketing their product.
- secure funding to support projects.
- We are confident that the services we provide to the community and
to local growers will help us to achieve our goal.
