What We Do

Northern Ontario Agri-Food Education & Marketing Inc. educates consumers, processors and retailers on the agri-food industry in Northern Ontario, while assisting producers with marketing initiatives.

School Programs

Agri-food Education can be a part of your classroom learning. We offer a variety of topics and ensure that all presentations are curriculum connected. We offer learning programs for all grade levels and are fully bilingual.

Dairy Educator Program

Topics may include:

• Dairy Farming
• Dairy Goodness (nutrition)
• Careers
• Processing
• Technology

Agri-Days Celebration

Local producers and people who are involved in agriculture share their experiences with your students. Two or three workshops are available to each school. Topics are dependent on the availability of presenters.

Topics may include:

• Fibres (wool, mohair, cotton etc.)
• Harvesting – technology, crops, foods
• Planting – technology, crops, foods
• Soils
• Nutrition – based on Canada’s Food Guide
• Animal Care
• Rural/Urban Living
• Careers

Teacher Workshops
